Amanda Karlsson (b. 1989 Karlstad, Sweden) is a visual artist addressing subjects such as realities, fiction and the uncomfortable part of being human in the middle of them.
This, in relation to an explorative process focusing on research, draws parallels between the collective psyche, our individual narrative and the concept of truth.
Karlsson has exhibited widely both in Sweden and internationally. One of the most recent in Arvika Konsthall. Her work has also been involved in public art projects and is included both in private and public collections. This year she is working on a group exhibition in Australia and an art installation
commissioned by Ståhl Collection for their contemporary art museum that is opening in 2020.
Anna Rabe (b. 1950 Gothenburg, Sweden) has painted for as long as she can remember. Her mother died when she and her twin sister were born and in the chaos that became her life, the drawing and painting were her safety. The speaking words became an obstacle, but the painting created freedom and context.
Rabe studied in La Grande Chaumier in Paris between 1970-72 and continued her eduation at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design and the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Since then, Rabe has exhibited widely in Sweden and is represented in Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Göteborgs Konstmusem and municipalities and county councils.
Emma Larssons (b. 1977 Gothenburg, Sweden) signature dreamlike landscapes and family groupings of abstract figures have an unworldly appeal thanks to an experimental style: the outdoors influence coming through in both organic textures and earthy colors.
Larsson has been featured in Womens Health Magazine and Zine Magazine. She has made collage work for a luxury hotel in Riyadh and for the Soho House and the Mortimer House in London. Larsson has made several collaborations with the fashion industry such as an interpretation of a menswear collection at Paris Fashion Week, a pattern construction with American designer Rachel Comey and an exhibition at a Cos Concept store in King´s Cross in London.
Björn Camenius (b. 1987 Västerås, Sweden) sees his paintings as
scenographies for an inner theater. As a scene where he can experiment with different characters and props to see how they unfold. In a dreamlike mix of impressions from everyday life and impulses from the subconscious.
Camenius has a bachelor´s degree from Valand Academy in Gothenburg 2016. Since then, he has had several solo and group exhibitions at galleries as well as in a museum. With some of the latest being at Västerås Konstmuseum, Galleri Helle Knudsen and Galleri Thomassen. His paintings are included in public collections suchs as Västerås Konstmuseum, Västra Götaland and Stockholm county councils as well as in several private collections.
